Videographer & Editor

We thrive when our people thrive. We’re currently looking for a Videographer/Editor to create video and audio content for Gravity Group and our clients.
This role will play an integral part in our video content creation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience planning, shooting, and editing a broad range of dynamic short- and long-form videos. Content produced will include various formats ranging from advertising to content for brands and their social media channels.
This position will work closely with our Creative Team and collaborate across our organization.
Hours Required
Full-time and part-time options available. Gravity maintains a hybrid work environment, and hours can be split between working in the office (in Harrisonburg, VA), working from home, and working from client sites (as needed). During the onboarding and training period (first 6-9 months), the expectation is to be in the office approximately 3-4 days/week to take advantage of opportunities to learn from and connect with other members of the team. This position does require some travel and may require the occasional evening/weekend to accommodate clients’ production needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2+ years of experience:
- Producing advertising-related video and photography content and promotional video content; other related industry experience considered a plus
- Producing social content for multiple platforms; additional experience with podcast production considered a plus
- Background in field production and editing
- Possesses the following qualities:

- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, After Effects, and Adobe Premiere; Mac format; Google apps. Familiarity with motion graphics and animation.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
- Ability to work on location for video shoots (some travel required)
Responsibilities, Duties
PRIMARY
- Execute video and photography content projects through every required phase of production – requirements will vary by project but may include any or all of creative development, pre-production planning, production/shooting, post-production, editing, and finishing/delivery
- Work closely with the Media Production Coordinator and the Gravity Group creative team to determine storytelling and aesthetic for video content, ensuring the creative vision is executed with the highest quality video, graphics, and sound production
- Produce, shoot, and/or edit high-quality, short-form videos in a wide range of styles shot in the field and/or in-studio; varied formats can include interview-focused shoots, graphics-driven videos, sizzle videos, social content videos, etc.
- Ability to plan, source and manage freelance crews as needed, depending upon the production requirements
- A strong desire to produce attention-grabbing content featuring strong storytelling and dynamic visual effects; knowledge of evolving social media best practices
