CHALLENGE

Eastern Mennonite University needed materials to help make the case for a new, innovative and high-tech Science Complex.

SOLUTION

Gravity Group worked with EMU to develop a campaign that targeted EMU’s key prospects featuring two primary elements – a video (DVD and web) and a comprehensive, expandable campaign book.  We made sure to focus on what mattered most to prospects – the impact that EMU grads make on ethical science in their communities and in the world.

The video, therefore, highlights the features and benefits of the new complex, but focuses primarily on the successes of current students and graduates, using a documentary approach following the personal stories of EMU science students and graduates. The campaign book presents detail on the new complex as well as campaign progress, and includes space for additional inserts that relay up-to-date information as well as targeted content for specific audiences.

In addition to the video and brochure, Gravity also produced a series of emails, a micro-site, and web videos.

RESULTS

The campaign is still young, but EMU has already received rave reviews regarding both the brochure and video.  Preliminary metrics prove a correlation between the increased web traffic and an increase in support. As of May 2011, a total of $2 million has been raised for the campaign.
